This site from SERC's Starting Point presents sample Gallery Walk questions about the Earth's radiation balance. The questions encourage the examination of radiation wavelength, conduction, convection, latent heat, radiation, advection, energy exchanges between the atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere, the electromagnetic spectrum, and variables (incoming solar radiation, scattering, refraction, albedo, etc) that influence different environments.
