Descripción: This research is the Master dissertation result in Clinic Psychology at PUC SP; Hospital Psychology and Psychosomatic Nucleus. The research aimed at investigating which variables unleash stress in body psychotherapists group and checking stress symptoms prevalence its frequency and intensity. The individuals taking part in the sample were 20 body psychotherapists10 male and 10 female working in private clinic in the city of São Paulo and being in area for over 10 years. Supported by the literature revision, the tool application started: Sociodemographic Questionnaire, the LSS/VAS- Stress Symptoms List for the target people. The Symptoms List was submitted to statistics evaluation while the Semi- Guided Interview: The stress in Body Psychotherapist was especially elaborated for this research. A number equivalent to 90% of the body psychotherapists considered the activity to be a bit stressful at all; however in the questionnaire: Stress Symptoms List (LSS/VAS) where the stress stage: that goes LIGHT/ALARMING/ DANGER/ EXTREME DANGER/EXHAUSTION, 65% are in the DANGER stage. Considering the frequency and intensity they are the symptoms which interfere in a way or the other in their well-being. Still, double symptoms happened in the same ranking locus (LR). The 5 most representative symptoms: 1 I feel angry ; 2 I have thoughts that make me anxious ( a ) ; 3 I feel anguished, 4 I get emotionally worn-out; 5 I get discouragement. The 5 least representative: 50 I bite my nails ; 49 I get hoarse (a); 48 I lose appetite ;47I feel like fainting ; 46 I get in a cold sweat. This way, further studies in this area and preventive measures to control and diminish stressful factors in order to understand stress in the body psychotherapist are recomended
