This work was carried on with high school students from Campinas city aiming to identify the alternative conceptions concerning the free fall of bodies. The pedagogical practices, emerging from the analysis of these conceptions, embodied the History of Science as a didactic tool intending to encourage and to motivate Physics studies, as well as helping teachers in the identification of the barriers to the development of scientific conceptions, frequently the same barriers are also presented in the students learning process. Research shows that students thinking are closed to the common sense , they are deep rooted inside students thought, making difficult its over throwing. It was showed too that these is not a local or a confined problem to different age groups or school level. |
