Descripción This dissertation is a theoretical and practical investigation in creative processes, tha focuses on hybrid visual poetics ? Body and Materials ? through Performance and body painting, seen in this research as a ritual and extension of the mask, respectively, used in everyday situations and in Arts, hiding or revealing our multiple faces. It brings a brief transdisciplinary background of Theater and Visual Arts, based on human relationships and Arts, with no pretensions of exhaust the wide-ranging universes that involve them, and it serves as the basis to enrich my performances presented here. Thus, I have also the caution of not create social-political andtechnological polarizations associated to the body related to the works of some artists who uses those languages, although it is important revering them. I deal with the body in its physical, spiritual and psychic wholeness as it is analyzed by Jean Yves Leloup, Gaston Bachelard and Ana Maria Amaral. I also show the disquiets of the contemporary human being with your memories impressed in the body in a conscious/unconscious way that are preserved or remain marked from birth to death, creating inflexibility or flexibility before life and people, expressing in this dissertationby the principles observed in the performances and the materials used. As methodology, I use the Laban/Bartenieff System or Laban Movement Analysis (LMA) that deals with the bodily practice, and the Poïetica used here inaphilosophical way and that is supported by Sandra Rey. The LMA seeks the consciousness in the body related to the other individuals and to the dynamic space, associated with the Authentic Movement technique developed by Marie Whitehouse, relating the principles of Carl G. Jung Psychology and Mary Wigman ones. Poïetica is a science and a philosophy of creation specific of the Visual Arts, which parameters are the Freedom, the Errability and the Effectiveness, that are very experimented by the artist. In this way, we can observe the union between those two methods that can berepresented by the Moebius Band, a three-dimensional surface that has no end in which the theory is connected to the practice, continuously. Thus, I present the body as a mean of communication that unites creator ? work of art ? work-appraiser.
