he teaching-learning process is understood as a whole in which students and professors share responsibility in the new model of European Education at University level. This change has to affect evaluation, which must be understood as a dynamic process totally integrated in the teaching-learning process. For this reason, this article explains an evaluation proposal based on the use of portfolio in a core subject that follows the principles of the European Credit Transfer System ECTS in English Studies. The article will explain the different activities that create the portfolio, their relationship with better students� grades and the main advantages and disadvantages of this type of evaluation for students and professors.
