  1. Photoelectrochemical properties of full composition InxGa1-xN/Si photoanodes

    Recently InxGa1-xN (x=0-1) thin films and nanostructures have attracted considerable interest in the field of solar assisted water splitting. As a standalone photoelectrode it is very appealing due to its direct, tunable bandgap covering nearly the entire solar spectrum (Fig. 1a), high absorption coefficient and mobility, along with near-perfect band-edge potentials. Moreover, because of the special bands alignment it can be grown on p-Si photocathode and exhibit vertical conductivity without complex tunnel junction. These facts open a possibility to achieve high efficiency, relatively cheap InGaN/Si-based two-photon tandem devices for water splitting-

    Hand gestures are one of the main alternatives for Human- Computer Interaction. For this reason, a hand gesture recognition system using near-infrared imagery acquired by a Leap Motion sensor is proposed. The recognition system directly characterizes the hand gesture by computing a global image descriptor, called Depth Spatiograms of Quantized Patterns, without any hand segmentation stage. To deal with the high dimensionality of the image descriptor, a Compressive Sensing framework is applied, obtaining a manageable image feature vector that almost preserves the original information.     Bifurcation theory plays a key role in the qualitative analysis of dynamical systems. In nonlinear circuit theory, bifurcations of equilibria describe qualitative changes in the local phase portrait near an operating point, and are important from both an analytical and a numerical point of view. This work is focused on quadratic turning points, which, in certain circumstances, yield saddle-node bifurcations. Algebraic conditions guaranteeing the existence of this kind of points are well-known in the context of explicit ordinary differential equations (ODEs).     Hace ahora dos años, los mismos autores proponían una comunicación titulada "Despliegue de pilotos de accesibilidad basados en el estándar HbbTV de TV conectada: el proyecto Hbb4all" en el Congreso AMADIS 2014 [1] para explicar el planteamiento inicial del proyecto HBB4ALL al inicio de su ejecución. Ahora, cuando el proyecto va a entrar en su fase final, es momento de exponer en este artículo los avances logrados durante su realización en el campo de los servicios de accesibilidad en la TV Conectada o TV Híbrida, así como la evolución de la tecnología durante este tiempo.

    Some antennas require rapid validation at a reduced measurement distance while maintaining sufficient accuracy in the determination of pertinent antenna parameters such as gain. In particular, for cellular base station antennas in production phase the measurement time can be a limitation.     Structure from motion is a very popular technique for obtaining three-dimensional point cloud-based reconstructions of objects from un-organised sets of images by analysing the correspondences between feature points detected in those images. However, the point clouds stemming from usual feature point extractors such as SIFT are frequently too sparse for reliable surface recovery.     This work-in-progress research project aims to cover different aspects of social media marketing in the fashion industry, starting with the creation of a framework for social media marketing strategies deployed by fashion companies. The research defines specific social media strategic actions, in terms of contents posted in different social media platforms, and analyzes their effect on consumers' perceptions and responses. The research features qualitative and quantitative data collected from Italian and Spanish companies, as well as from Indonesian consumers.
