The sensorial quality of meat is important when consumers both purchase and eat it.
When buying, color is most important, whereas tenderness is significant when eating. The
color of the meat mostly depends on the concentration of myoglobin and pH, while tenderness
is related to pH, collagen composition and myofibrillar degradation. Muscle fiber metabolism
depends on the diet that the animals receive. Low-energy diets are associated with red fibers,
oxidative metabolism, and increased myoglobin concentration. High-energy diets stimulate
the development of glycolytic fibers, which have the ability to accumulate more glycogen.
Myofiber metabolism also affects the content of proteolytic enzymes;...

This paper reviewed research on the use of non-conventional protein sources of plant origin
for poultry in Nigeria and other neighbor countries. As the cost of compounded feed continues
being a burden for the Nigerian farmers due to the current high cost of conventional protein
sources such as fishmeal, groundnut cake and soybean meal, it is very urgent to explore the
potentials of non-conventional alternative sources of protein, especially the leaf meals of some
plants, such as Moringa oleifera, Leucaena leucocephala, Manihot esculenta, Carica papayaand other leguminous fodders which can, to some extent, replace the inclusion of the conventional

In the central area of Argentina, there are sheep farms with heterogeneous individuals
possessing heterogeneous denominations, whose production is aimed at a butcher purpose,
producing wool of varying quality, which mostly corresponds to a heavy type, greater than
28 microns. The possibility of wool blends to highlight virtues that enables them to profit as
the upholstery industry and carpet weaving should be considered, as the industry requires
certain characteristics in wool quality variables, such as bulk, so that it is used efficiently.
The aim of this study was to characterize the production of sheep wool in central Argentina,
