Networking boundary for academic libraries - Xiao Dehong
面对可能出现极端的环境变化(如E-Science的提出),图书馆界在网络化上出现了自由主义和集体主义并起的局面。大学图书馆在更多地向大学内部寻求合作,更多的例子显示,大学图书馆还在向外整合,虽然这个过程更加困难,也出现对陌生领域的困惑,对异域文化多样化挑战的自信心不足。本文分析了图书馆网络化的动力,包括拉力因素和推力因素,在诸多因素中,比较而言,图书馆网络成长中的政府角色和具有新知识的新岗位人员对网络边界的影响是明确的。政府的角色表现在,公共服务机构需要公正性和持续性,一旦它们在道德上变得具有弹性,可能导致全社会的损失;具有新知识的新岗位人员的要素表现在,图书馆网络的边界取决于该组织中所有人员全部能力之和,来自官僚阶层的强信号导致网络边界将日益减弱,逐渐模糊或消失,来自个体的弱关系网络将导致边界的更加多元。作者旨在探讨新环境中面对新需求,应该如何拓展图书馆网络,强化其“服务、信息资源共享、为人类进步作更大贡献”等功能,可供图书馆重新定位、整合、发展规划时借鉴。目次大体如下:1. 基于DSpace构建机构仓储的本地化实践 - 陈和; 萧德洪; 林丽敏
[摘要]对开源软件DSpace系统进行简单介绍的基础上,以厦门大学运用DSpace系统构建机构仓储为例,对DSpace系统中的几个主要有关界面显示的系统文件进行中文化处理,同时对系统的界面与功能进行调整和优化,另外对系统运行所需的邮件服务器也作了一些改进,从而使其更符合国内有关机构或单位的实际应用需求和用户使用习惯。
[Abstract] Base on the introduction of the open source DSpace software, many useful steps are introduced to accord with the really application requirement of internal correlative institution and to adapt for the internal user’s usage habit. The steps includes several system files of DSpace about language be Chinese localized, the system interfaces be adjusted, the system functions be optimized, and the mail server’s function be improved. All the steps are carried out on Xiamen University Institutional Repository which was built with DSpace.

基于DSpace构建机构仓储的备份与恢复 - 陈和
[摘要]针对导致基于DSpace构建的机构仓储系统出现故障或错误的各种可能原因,以及仓储系统的数据存储特点,分别介绍和分析了三种类型的数据备份与恢复方法,即使用导入与导出工具进行备份与恢复、数据存储级备份与恢复、文件系统级备份与恢复。并在此基础上,推荐使用一种简单实用的自动异地文件系统级备份方法。
[Abstract] According to different possible factors which induce error of institutional repository based on DSpace system, and to the data storage specialty of institutional repository, three type methods of data backup and recover are introduced and analyzed, which are backup and recover with importing and exporting tools, backup and recover based on data storage, backup and recover based on file system. Finally, a simple applied method of backup is recommended which could be stored on another computer automatically.
