ORBi Open Repository and Bibliography (187,802 recursos)
In may 2007, the ULg's Administrative Board (joined in June 2007 by the FUSAGx) decided to create an institutional repository and defined a strong institutional self-archiving policy to increase the visibility, accessibility and impact of the University's publications (Board's decision). This decision led to the official launch, in November 2008, of the ORBi platform including both the Academic Bibliography and the Institutional Repository of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy.

1. Religious activism, subaltern groups and ethic of distinction. The case of Congolese immigrants in Belgium. - Demart, Sarah
This paper proposes to shed a new light on Belgian categorisation process of subaltern groups from the discourses on “integration” developed within Congolese religious circles during the last three decades. In spite of important diasporic dispute regarding the legitimacy of their evangelical moral code, revival churches indoubtedly constitue major institutions for the Congolese community. The fight of integration, the virtuous citizenship and more generally the right to think oneself beyond the logics of reduction to otherness are part of this religious affirmation in Europe. In Belgium, the former colonial metropole of Congolese, we will see how the ethic of morality,...

5. Let's Talk Ambiguity: Citizen science in new and emerging technologies - Van Oudheusden, Michiel
Citizen science (CS) is a fairly new concept that is rapidly gaining traction in the industrialized democratic world. Although it is often likened to public participation in science, CS takes on many forms and orientations. In this presentation, I link CS developments and practices to the advent of new and emerging technologies (NEST), such as bio- and nanotechnologies. I draw on three Flemish cases of CS linked to NEST to illustrate how CS co-evolves with Flemish and European policy shifts towards responsible innovation governance. The cases serve to highlight how various conceptions of CS enact divergent rationales for public involvement...
