ORBi Open Repository and Bibliography (319.770 recursos)

In may 2007, the ULg's Administrative Board (joined in June 2007 by the FUSAGx) decided to create an institutional repository and defined a strong institutional self-archiving policy to increase the visibility, accessibility and impact of the University's publications (Board's decision). This decision led to the official launch, in November 2008, of the ORBi platform including both the Academic Bibliography and the Institutional Repository of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy.

  8. From Theory to Practice of Dynamic and Equilibrium Interfacial and Colloidal Properties

    Razafindralambo, Hary
Interfaces are the boundary limits of at least two immiscible phases that include gas, liquid and solid, and are characterized by the interfacial free energy. Understanding their fundamental property modifications in deep manner is of great importance, regarding to scientific and application viewpoints. That allows us to control the formation and stabilization of colloidal systems, which consist in producing homogeneous dispersions from, at least, two initially immiscible phases. In this communication, the dynamic and equilibrium aspects of fluid and solid surfaces were theoretically reminded, and some applications related to surface-active biocompounds with short chain derivatives (hydrosolubles) by dynamic adsorption (Gibbs...

  11. Hybrid plasmonic multichannel spectroscopic sensor platform

Hastanin, Juriy; Lenaerts, Cedric; Gailly, Patrick; Fleury-Frenette, Karl
we present a hybrid plasmonic sensor concept, as well as the first proof-of-concept experimental investigations, demonstrating its practical feasibility. The proposed approach gives access to two detection formats on the same lab-on-chip device: surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) biosensing . The developed instrumental platform is dedicated to multichannel biosensing. In order to implement the proposed sensing approach, we developed a specific microfabrication technique involving gold nanoparticles (Au_NPs) synthesis by pulsed laser writing followed by annealing. This technology provides powerful tools for flexible patterning of the microfluidic sensor chips with array of different SPR and LSPR...

  12. Teaching with VR. Développer des environnements virtuels au service de l’enseignement en sciences humaines et sociales

Billen, Roland; Dozo, Björn-Olav; Etienne, Anne-Marie; Schyns, Michael

  20. Polymer electrolytes and adapted mesoporous TiO2 for Solid State Dye Sensitized Solar

Bharwal, Anil Kumar; Fannie, Alloin; Iojoiu, Cristina; Henrist, Catherine
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC) have attracted a great attention due to their low production cost and high photo-conversion efficiencies since a new type of dye-sensitized solar cell has been reported by Grätzel [1,2]. The electrolytes are one of the key components and their properties have much effect on the conversion efficiencies. An electrolyte containing a suitable redox couple plays a very important role in determining the photovoltaic characteristics and durability of DSSC. Although there is the inherent drawback of the cell due to the volatility and possible leakage problem of liquid electrolytes during the long-term out-door operation. Numerous efforts have...
