ORBi Open Repository and Bibliography (327.254 recursos)

In may 2007, the ULg's Administrative Board (joined in June 2007 by the FUSAGx) decided to create an institutional repository and defined a strong institutional self-archiving policy to increase the visibility, accessibility and impact of the University's publications (Board's decision). This decision led to the official launch, in November 2008, of the ORBi platform including both the Academic Bibliography and the Institutional Repository of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy.

    Polyurethanes (PUs) are versatile materials finding applications in several sectors, such as automotive, building and construction, household or medicine. Due to the toxicity of isocyanates used in the conventional PU chemistry, there has been an increasing interest to develop more environmentally-friendly/safer alternatives. The synthesis of poly(hydroxyurethanes) (PHUs) by polyaddition of diamines with CO2-sourced bis(cyclic carbonate)s has emerged as one of the most promising alternatives.     Since the success story of lithium iron phosphate, other phosphate-based compounds have attracted a lot of interest as promising candidates for positive electrodes in lithium-ion or sodium-ion batteries. Their electronic conductivity usually has to be improved through the preparation of composite powders ensuring intimate contact between the active material and conductive carbon.   20. Particle engineering of budesonide using sonocrystallization technique for DPI : optimization of process parameters

    Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) are used for the treatment of pulmonary diseases. They are based on a mix of drug and excipient that is inhaled by patients. The excipient transports the drug (budesonide) to the respiratory tracts. In order to optimize this deposition, the budesonide particles should have a spherical morphology and a size between 1 to 5 µm. Sonocrystallization is the technique used to design this drug. Using experimental design, we were able to highlight the influence of several parameters on the size and morphology of budesonide particles.
