  1. Metodología para la obtención de la documentación cartográfica de un documento

    Attending to the conservation of heritage and archaeology, is necesary, for restauration or excavation works, to provide a suitable cartography for the works to develope. In this way, it is normaly indicated, the following methodology to represent in a cartographycal way a monument, using aerial and terrestrial photography methods, and surveying, and also direct measures taking about the monument.

  2. Técnicas constructivas en las villas romanas de Andalucía

    In this paper we analyze the building techniques in Roman villas excavated in Andalucia, a subject wich has never been studied in depth in spite of its relevance. Roman villas are, over other aspects, architectural ensembles. We study wall-making, pavements an other elements, a we put forward to a typological clasification for them. Our main conclusions are the great variety of building techniques employed, and the absolute predominance of the stone masonry in all its forms, due, in our opinion, to the geological background of me whole zone.

  3. El yacimiento arqueológico de Cercadilla: avance de resultados

    In this paper we present the preliminary results of the 1991-92 digging season in Cercadilla (Córdoba). We should emphasize the discovery in this site of the remains of a palatium built towards the end of the third or the beggining of the fourth century A.D. It seems to have remained in use well into the fifth century A.D. The palatium was built around a semicircular cryptoporticus with a diameter of 109 m., with triconch halls at both ends.   4. Construcciones de opus quadratum en Córdoba

    The object of this work is to value the importance of certains buildings of the province and city of Cordoba in the use and diffusion of the technics of roman construction in the Betica province. In concret, the opus quadratum, scasly represented in other hispanorroman cities had a full use in Cordoba, so much in republican, as in imperial time. Like this, we could considere the presence of this technic like a way to give prestige to the city chosen as the Betic capital.   5. Hallazgo de una nueva columna miliaria perteneciente a la Via Augusta

    By means of this article we let you know about the discovery of a new milliary column which belonged to the Roman Via Augusta. It has been found in the environs of La Torrecilla industrial area close to Córdoba. Its chronology based upon epigraphic analysis allow us to date it in the early years of Nero mandate.

    This paper exposes the stratigraphical results of an exeavation at a site imtra muros of Corduba-Colonia Patricia. We analize the finds: rest of the cloaca maxima and of an urban house that evolucionates through roman and islamic times. Also it is proposed our hypothesis about the trayectory of colonial cardo maximus.

  7. Excavación arqueológica con sondeos estratigráficos en Cerro de Las Cabezas (Fuente Tojar, Córdoba). Campaña de 1991. Avance a su estudio

    This paper offers the preliminary results of the archaeological field works held in the Cerro de las Cabezas (Fuente Tójar, Córdoba), the ancient Illiturgicola. The works in this oppidum were focused in the key stages in the development of the village as an urban site, this is, the Late Orientalizing Period, with the first excavated walls, and also the late 1st century AD, in which a strong constructive activity involved a radical change in the pattem of the ancient indigenous settlement.

  8. Cerámica Campaniense en la Corduba romana

    The Hellenistic Black-Glaze Potteries, conventionally called Ceramica Campana, are one of the priorities items in the research works about western hellenistic contexts. In this article we provide an aproximation to that sort of pottery with regard to Corduba, Romano-Iberian town that is considered as the de facto capital of Hispania Ulterior during the Republic.

  9. Notas sobre el armamento ibérico de Almedinilla

    In this paper we study the Iberian wapons found in the cemetery of Los Collados (Almedinilla), using detailed typological analysis to reach social and cultural conclusions. We emphasize the implications of the probable North-South cultural and political border passing near the site, and the purely Iberian character of the panoply, which does not show noticeable influences from the inner Meseta.

  10. La cerámica ibérica del "Cerro de la Cruz" (Almedinilla, Córdoba). Departamentos O, P, Ñ

    In this paper we allempt a preliminary Study and classification of the pottery documented in three rooms excavated in the Central Sector of Ihe lberian settlement of "El Cerro de la Cruz" (Almedinilla, Córdoba). The great assemblage of complete shapes identified in these rooms belongs to the second century B.C., a period so far poorly documented in Alta Andalucfa. A microspatial analysis of the departments, and a cultural and functional evaluation of the assemblage are also attempted.

  11. El poblamiento rural en el arroyo de Guadatin: un modelo de ocupación del territorio durante el Bronce Final y el período orientalizante en el Valle Medio del Guadalquivir

    This paper tries to explain the territorial pattem of around fifty farms located in the Middle Valley of Guadalquivir river during the Late Bronze Age and the Orientalizing Period. The close relationships between landscape and agriculture are widely studied and also the distribution of manufactured goods. including pottery, in the rural environment.

  12. Aproximación al Bronce Antiguo y Pleno en el sureste de la campiña cordobesa: los yacimientos del Cerro del Castillo de Aguilar y de Zoñar

    This paper analyses the Middle Bronze Age in lhe Middle Valle of Guadalquivir river by means of two archaelogical settlements in the province of Córdoba. They offer a distinctive material cullure -pottery, metalwork- and also an increasing influence from two of me most important cultural areas of Iberia.
