ORBi Open Repository and Bibliography (327.254 recursos)

In may 2007, the ULg's Administrative Board (joined in June 2007 by the FUSAGx) decided to create an institutional repository and defined a strong institutional self-archiving policy to increase the visibility, accessibility and impact of the University's publications (Board's decision). This decision led to the official launch, in November 2008, of the ORBi platform including both the Academic Bibliography and the Institutional Repository of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy.

    Antoine-Moussiaux, Nicolas; Vandenberg, O.; Kozlakidis, Z.; Aenishaenslin, C.; Eremin, S.; Peyre, M.; Roche, M.; Bonnet, P.; Ravel, A.
Economic evaluation of health surveillance systems and health information is a methodological challenge, as for information systems in general. Main present threads are considering cost-effectiveness solutions, minimizing costs for a given technically required output, or cost-benefit analysis, balancing costs with economic benefits of duly informed public interventions, both adopting adapted viewpoint and time horizon. The latter option, following a linear command-and-control perspective, implies considering a strong mono- causal link between information, decision, action, and health benefits. Yet, valuing information, taking into account its nature and multiple sources, the modalities of its processing cycle, from production to diffusion and gradual building...

  8. New Public Management and Strategic Change in the European Railways - A critical study on the EU governance of megaprojects

    Esposito, Giovanni
Over the last five decades, European public sectors have undergone a profound process of organizational change, where managerial tools and principles from the private sector have permeated through governments and administrations of many countries. New Public Management (NPM) reform ideas were crucial to this change. Mainstream studies on NPM reforms commonly see it as a mere pragmatic and apolitical framework of reform to downsize State bureaucracies and render public service delivery more efficiently and effectively responsive to users’ demands. Following the Critical Management Studies tradition, this PhD dissertation questions this taken-for-grantedness of NPM and denaturalizes the mainstream idea of NPM...

  16. Neighborhood Search Algorithms for Multi-Trip Vehicle Routing

    François, Véronique
Think about the lines of trucks we overtake on highways. Each of these trucks is performing a journey that may include several delivery or pickup operations before getting to a depot. And each of these journeys is generally determined through a large-scale planning process that concerns a fleet of vehicles. While establishing such a plan, transport operators organize vehicle journeys with an underlying objective such as the minimization of the transportation cost or the maximization of the service level. During the planning process, at least the following decisions have to be made: which customers are going to be visited by...

  17. La neutralité du net est-elle vraiment neutre ?

    Gautier, Axel
