This book focuses on Load Balance and High Availability clustering, clearly aiming at the practitioner. It intends to help a technical user design, build and maintain clustered services from the ground up. Theory on clusters and High Availability is skimmed through or not presented at all. However, the book makes for a complete and useful manual on tools and techniques commonly used in the domain. High Performance clustering, on the other hand, falls out of scope.

In this paper we define two wavelets bases over tetrahedra which are generated by a regular subdivision method. One of them is a basis based on vertices while the other one is a Haar-like basis that form an unconditional basis for Lp (T, Σ, μ), 1 < p < ∞, being μ the Lebesgue measure and Σ the σ - algebra of all tetrahedra generated from a tetrahedron T by the chosen subdivision method. This paper describes how to design low-cost reliable computing software for various application systems, by incorporating a single-version fault tolerant scheme along with run-time signature-based control-flow checking. Most of the ordinary systems lack fault tolerant software fix. Study deals with implementations of fixed-point division modules based on different algorithms on basis of Xilinx FPGAs. We show that our implementation of the nonrestoring algorithm is significantly faster and smaller than the 32-bit IP Core "Pipelined Divider" from Xilinx. For example, the speed of the 32-bit designed module is almost 245 MHz vs. 193 MHz from Xilinx divider. Moreover, high-speed parameterized modules are designed to provide arbitrary precision of the fixed-point division, for example, with 64-bit or 128-bit operands and large fixedpoint result.

Chip-multiprocessor systems or CMPs have emerged as a high-perfomance organization for the increasing number of transistors available on a chip, and are projected to dominate the market of server and desktop computers. CMPs require innovative designs of on-chip memory hierarchies, especially designed to address the problems that arise in this novel kind of architecture: higher memory bandwidh demand from more processing cores and the increasing latency of off-chip cache misses. In this paper, we propose an efficient diagnosis scheme to detect and locate the switching network defects/faults in reconfigurable array architecture. This diagnosis scheme performs the test of switching network based on the scan path and fault intersection test methodology to locate the faults occurring in the switching network. After the diagnosis of switching network, the processing element (PE) test can then be initiated through the good switches and links.
