    This article brings to ligiht details of the mills which have been restored at Arenal de la Fuensanta. Both buildings have a long history during which they have undergone several transformations. However, their origin is islarnic, confirmed by the names that they initially received by the people that took part in the christian conquest of the city.

    Around the 50's or 60's from the last century it was found two smalls fragments engraved of a arabic headstone in Cañete de las Torres (Córdoba, south of Spain). The epitaphy probably belongs to the son of the Merini sultan, Abu l-Hasan Ali. His name was Abu Amir Abd Allah b. Hasan b. Utman al-Asgar, Abdalla Aboamar in the Christian chronicles.   8. El saneamiento en las ciudades andalusíes

    The aim of this article is to discuss the organization of the evacuation of waste water in the towns of al-Andalus. The escavations carried out and historical data show the different solutions that were present in the towns, as were the latrines communicated with cesspits or a rather complicated sewer sytem. The analysis of the urban structure of the deserted villages asSaltés (Huelva), Bayyana (Pechina, Almería), Vascos (Toledo), Siyasa (Murcia) demonstrates the presence of latrines in almost every house.     The objective of this work is to inforrn about two hispano-visigothic tombs excavated in 1993 in the Teatro de la Axerquía. There is very little documentation on funeral rites in this period in the city of Cordoba, hence their importance in the understanding of funeral practices in the transition from Iate Antiquity to the Medieval period.

    In the present study we report the results obtained in the Archarchaeological Supervision we have performed while remodelling of steeled was done in Avenida Gran Vía Parque. Showed data are focused on a study of the funeral findings of Roman Age based on stratigraphic analysis of the aifected zones. Our work emphasizes the finding of an infantile burial in a lead sarcophagus of altoimpceral chronology.

    Abordamos en este trabajo una revisión del cosídetto "Camino Viejo de Almodóvar", sector funerario perteneciente a la Necrópolis Occidental de la Córdoba romana, que se configuró como una auténtica vía sepulchralis de gran monumentalidad, extremos confirmado a la luz de los nuevos resultados de las excavaciones practicadas en la zona por el erudito cordobés Enrique Romero de Torres, y que, hasta ahora, permanecían inéditos.

    This article analyses the discovery of two metal pieces taken from the east vicus of Corduba. One is a urnula and the other a Iucerna. The latter is of a type known in the roman world, of which there are examples in Hispania, although it is the frist of its kind to be discovered in the capital of Baetica.

  16. El opus sectile de la villa de Santa Rosa, Córdoba

    During the archaeological intevention developed in terrains adjacents to Algarrobo, 4-6-8-10 and Cronista Rey Diaz, 3 streets, was documented a suburban villa in a very good conservation state, regarding to pavements above all. Between the better conserved pavements there's an opus sectile used as decoration of triclinium.

  17. El sector septentrional de la villa romana de Santa Rosa

    In the following pages we will shed light on the preliminary results obtained from the archacological rescue escavation in La Manzana de Banesto (Santa Rosa, Córdoba), corresponding to the northern sector of a suburban villa. A peristyle with and octagonal fountain and surrounding mosaics have been documented, as well as various areas situated to the North and East of this peristyle.

    About the end of the 3.rd century AD; at a place out of the city's bustling movement, a powerful dominus planed his own house, taking a great care over it: He chose a distant but easy to approach building site, surrounded by a vegetable garden, with the only sound of wlater flowing and the wind blowing through the trees. A piece of ground that, just a few years before, was used as a necropolis by the citizens of Colonia Patricia Corduba.
