    La evolución de los laboratorios remotos ha sufrido un punto de inflexión al incorporarse en su diseño tecnologías basadas en entornos virtuales de aprendizaje. Los nuevos laboratorios remotos que han surgido ofrecen prestaciones educativas que permiten la adquisición de competencias prácticas similares a las que se alcanzan en los laboratorios presenciales. Este trabajo ofrece una aportación orientada a demostrar que es factible integrar el uso de estos nuevos recursos en los estudios de grado del área de la ingeniería electrónica.   4. APLICA_MATES: Una comunidad virtual de aprendizaje

    En este trabajo se presenta la experiencia de la creación de APLICA_MATES, comunidad virtual de aprendizaje creada por el grupo de innovación educativa GIEMATIC de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, como parte de su estrategia de incorporación de tecnología en las actividades de aprendizaje y evaluación. Se trata de una comunidad privada, formada por profesores y estudiantes, que pretende facilitar la integración social y académica de los alumnos de primer curso, mediante actividades de aprendizaje colaborativo, compartiendo recursos y noticias de divulgación matemática.

  5. Introducing ethical, social and environmental issues in ICT engineering degrees

    This paper describes the experience of introducing ethical, social and environmental issues in undergraduate ICT engineering degrees at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The experience before the Bologna Process was concentrated on developing elective courses related mainly on the field of the International Development Cooperation. The integration of those topics within the current ICT engineering curricula, adapted to the European Higher Education Area framework, has significantly improved.   6. Demostración de la plataforma educativa eLab3D para el aprendizaje de la electrónica

    eLab3D es un laboratorio remoto que permite a los usuarios la realización de experimentos reales online basados en el análisis y diseño de circuitos electrónicos. El laboratorio dispone como interfaz de un mundo virtual 3D, desarrollado en Opensim, en el que los usuarios interaccionan con réplicas virtuales de instrumentos, circuitos, componentes o cables, así como con sus compañeros y profesores a la hora de realizar las prácticas. eLab3D se ha diseñado para que todas las actividades que se desarrollen sean prácticamente análogas a las que se realizarían en un laboratorio presencial.

  7. Using remote laboratory eLab3D for a broader practical skills training in electronics

    This paper briefly presents some relevant aspects of an innovative educational resource that allows real experimentation through Internet in the area of electronics. The developed platform, named eLab3D, is based in a 3D environment in which the user can conduct all the operations that he/she would carried out in a hands-on laboratory.   8. Utilización del laboratorio remoto eLab3D en la enseñanza de la electrónica analógica

    Este trabajo muestra el grado de adquisición de los objetivos de aprendizaje que pueden alcanzar los estudiantes en un laboratorio de electrónica mediante la utilización de eLab3D. Además se presentan los resultados obtenidos en una experiencia realizada con estudiantes de una titulación de grado de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid en la que se ha evaluado la eficacia, a nivel de aprendizaje, al utilizar la plataforma eLab3D.

An increasingly common one produces story maps, maps that are shown with synchronized explanatory text, to visualize events in a spatial context.     As a way of reinforcing classroom-based lessons, especially for continuous evaluation, we experimented with remote conferences and tutoring. These seminars were directed at three different groups of students: those who are struggling with the subject, those who were unable to attend all the lessons, and those seeking deeper insight.   15. Using linked open data to improve the search of open educational resources for engineering students

    In this paper, authors apply the Linked Data Design Issues to describe and retrieve information that is semantically related to open educational resources related to the Engineering Education, that are accessible via the OCW Higher Institutions. Linked data have the potential of create bridges between OCW data silos. To assess the impact of Linked Data in OCW, the authors present an interface of faceted search for open educational content. The authors demonstrate that OCW resource metadata related to engineering open courses can be consumed and enriched using datasets hosted by the LinkedOpenData cloud.

    Through the application of semantic technologies to describe Open Educational Resources, any agent (human or software-based) could process and understand its contents; therefore, the agent could perform tasks autonomously or in a more effective way. In this paper, we describe the design and validation of the OER-CC ontology, which models the domain knowledge of educational resources licensed under Creative Commons Licenses. One of the most important contributions of this work is that we implement different rules and axioms to identify inconsistencies between rights provided by a licensed on an learning material and particular uses that are performed on it.

    This paper describes the preliminary results of an educational innovation project in which virtual world technologies have been used to build up a set of virtual laboratories oriented to engineering studies.
