An American soldier writes home from Bataan, and while his family reads the letter, the soldier's ghostly apparition interjects statistics about food and equipment shortages. Cast includes Richard Arlen, Susan Hayward, and Jimmy Lydon.

Shows the cost of World War II in dead and wounded. Appeals to the public to buy government bonds to aid and support the training of disabled veterans.
