Inicialmente, se reflexiona sobre los desafíos que enfrenta la ciencia educativa postmodernista a la luz de la inexistencia de un paradigma epistémico que sustente los desafíos fundacionales de este enfoque.   3. Factores determinantes del rendimiento académico de alumnos hijos de inmigrantes y autóctonos de origen extranjero en contextos de exclusión social

    [EN] This paper analyzes, in contexts of risk of exclusion, the academic performance in mathematics and language of immigrant and native students of foreign origin from schools in the Region of Murcia characterized by immigration and the difficult socioeconomic situation facing a lot of families. Using a questionnaire it has been analyzed several indicators like the level of education of the parents, family monthly income and the vehicular language used in the family, to check if these indicators affect the academic performance of children. In conclusion can be noted that the academic level of parents, especially mothers, are so critical to academic achievement and socioeconomic status of families

  4. Estudio de la autoestima infantil en función del sexo

    [EN] The following study proposes describing the levels of self-esteem in children and analyzing whether there are differences based on their sex. The sample consists of 1,757 children aged from 3 to 7. For self-esteem assessment, the EDINA questionnaire was administrated, which shows an appropriate reliability rate (0.803). The self-esteem of girls and boys studied is high. Statistical analyzes showed: a) significantly higher scores on self-esteem of girls; b) a decrease on self-esteem associated to age of children; c) significant differences depending on the socioeconomic status; and d) higher level of self-esteem in children when they have a woman as advisor of class group.
