    [EN] The Engineering Education requires that students acquire an appropriate knowledge on a mathematical computational language as well as on a numerical simulation procedure. The computational language of mathematics usually is taught in advanced courses, once that the curriculum mathematical education is mainly completed; in addition, the numerical simulation is usually located late or even in doctoral studies. In this paper, we propose that the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) become to be a teaching-learning tool, instead of a strategic resource only.   2. Uso de simulaciones por ordenador para mejorar la enseñanza en el laboratorio de ingeniería química

    [EN] Virtual labs can be adopted as a complement of the university traditional teaching methodologies. This paper describes the results of a teaching pilot project which enabled the use of a commercial processsimulator (Hysys) in the implementation of five virtual labs related to three important unit operations in Chemical Engineering: liquid-liquid extraction, distillation, and heat exchange. The software provided a new approach to the analysis and interpretation of lab results by students. The educational effectiveness of the implemented project was evaluated through questionnaires, and the results showed that in average more of 85% of the student considered Hysys of great utility in their learning process.   9. La torsión alabeada como secuencia de infinitos problemas de flexión

    [EN] In the present article, a methodology for teaching modeling problem of mixed torsion for thin-walled open sections. The mathematical analogy of warped twist as a problem of Euler-Bernoulli beams is exploited. In fact, the paper proposes to represent the warped torsion differential equation as a perturbation of the pure torsion or also called the Saint-Venant theory. Thus, it is demonstrated that under certain conditions related to the value of the torsional slenderness the response of a beam is the addition of infinite pure warped problems, that is, infinite bending problems, according to the analogy. We call this the asymptotic torsion analogy.

    [ES] En este trabajo presentamos un nuevo laboratorio virtual, APERIODIC DIFFRACT, desarrollado en Matlab GUI c (Interfaz Gráfica de Usuario) como herramienta informática para la enseñanza de las propiedades difractivas de redes aperiódicas. Esta interfaz GUI permite al estudiante generar secuencias aperiódicas mediante iteraciones y analizar el espectro de los diferentes órdenes de iteración.

    [EN] An alternative teaching-learning methodology for the subject "Hydrodynamic, Resistance and Propulsion" in Degrees concerned with NAval Engineering, is presented. The goal of the pedagogical approach is the acquirement of appropiate skills related to the ability of analyzing and designing different types of ships. The blended learning concept is employed, including the supervised learnin as key ingredient.
