    [EN] German Angora does were artificially inseminated with either Pannon White (N) or heterospermic (N+A) or Angora (A) rabbit semen to compare the reproduction and growth traits of 54 N x A, 53 (N+A) x A and 65 A x A matings. The kindling rate was 59.3, 58.5 and 47.7%, resp., the value of total born per litter averaged 7.09, 6.36 and 6.19, litter size at 21 days of age 5.73, 5.97 and 4.89, and litter weight at 21 days 1739, 1700 and 1446 g.     [EN] After reviewing muscular biology and general relationships between muscular physico-chemistry and meat quality, this review analyses the variations in muscular pH and related traits in rabbits. Among biological factors (muscle, age, genotype, family ), muse/e factor is the most importan!. lt determines the differences in ultimate pH (pHu) between muscles, which can reach 0.7 units and which are due to differences in the fibre typology. lncrease in glycolytic metabolism during muscle growth is accompanied by pHu lowering; its variation depends on the precocity of muscle development.     [EN] The biometric - genetic analyses of movement ability of New Zealand White (NZ) rabbits, Wild (W) rabbits and their reciproca! crosses (NZ x W or W x NZ) in the open field test showed that the mean values of grid crossing of NZ rabbits are in the first five means greater than in W rabbits. Means of grid crossing of reciproca! hybrids have intermediate values. Correlations between subsequent minutes of observations of grid crossing are in the most cases low and non significant.
