SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online (52,375 recursos)
SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is an electronic library covering a selected collection of Brazilian scientific journals. The objective of the site is to implement an electronic virtual library, providing full access to a collection of serial titles, a collection of issues from individual serial titles, as well as to the full text of articles. The project envisages the development of a common methodology for the preparation, storage, dissemination and evaluation of scientific literature in electronic format.

147. Morphometrics and adaptatives aspects in africanized honeybees (Apis mellifera) - OLIVEIRA-JR,W. P.; BRANDEBURGO,M. A. M.; MARCOLINO,M. T.
To test that hypothesis morphometric analyses in samples of colonies of africanized bees and in samples of the populations were performed.

148. Ontogenetic events in androgenesis of Brazilian barley genotypes - SILVA,A. L. S. da; MORAES-FERNANDES,M. I.; FERREIRA,A. G.
This paper describes a simple procedure for obtention of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) doubled haploid plants from Brazilian hybrid genotypes.

Several species of terrestrially hibernating frogs, turtles and insects have developed mechanisms, such as increased plasma glucose, anti-freeze proteins and antioxidant enzymes that resist to freezing, for survival at subzero temperatures.

150. Monochromatic and polychromatic visual backgrounds influence the response of area 17 and 18 neurons after stimulation with stationary and moving light bars - KOCH,H. J.
In order to assess the colour sensitivity in cat cortical neurons we used large isoluminant computer-generated monochromatic and polychromatic background stimuli which were superimposed on moving and stationary (on/off) light bars.

151. The kariotype of the parasitoid Chelonus insularis Cresson (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Cheloninae) - SILVA-JUNIOR,J. C.; POMPOLO,S. das G.; CAMPOS,L. A. de O.; CRUZ,I.
The karyotype of Chelonus insularis (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Cheloninae) is described.
