    This article aims to analyze descriptions in lecture notes on Japanese language teaching methods written by Ueno Yasutsugu, a teacher delegated to China by the Asia Development Board (Kôain) in 1942 in reference to Japanese language education in the national course of national elementary schools. Based on an analysis of these lecture notes, the following four results were found. 1.     The idea for this classroom project was born at a seminar on classroom research with Prof. Dr. Schocker-von Ditfurth as a guest speaker. Before sending students with a questionnaire to a European restaurant, they should be made aware of differences in table manners within the classroom.     Marilyn Hacker's 1994 collection Winter Numbers attempts to come to terms with cancer, including the death of friends from the disease, and Hacker's own mastectomy and chemotherapy. Cancer is problematic for poetry, and for elegy in particular, for a number of conceptual, ethical and mimetic reasons. As it seeks to make progress away from the disease through the patterning of rhyme and meter, metaphor, and the assertion of fertility, cancer poetry finds itself replicating the creatively destructive qualities of the disease.
