  1. TWO NEW GENERA OF THE DIASPIDINI FROM THE INDIAN SUBCONTINENT (HOMOPTERA: COCCOIDEA: DIASPIDIDAE)

    Keralaspis piperis, gen. et sp. nov., occurring in Kerala, South India, on Piper sp. (probably Piper nigrum), and Himalaspis clerodendri, gen. et sp. nov., occurring in Midland Nepal on Clerodendron infortunatum and C. viscosum, are described. Chionaspis caroli Green, 1919, described from Darjeeling, India, as occurring on tea plant, is transferred to Himalaspis on the basis of the original description. Keralaspis and Himalaspis belong to the tribe Diaspidini, and Himalaspis is referred to the subtribe Chionaspidina on the basis of the second-instar male of the type species.   2. A REVISED CONCEPT OF MORGANELLA, WITH OTHER FORMS (HOMOPTERA: COCCOIDEA: DIASPIDIDAE)

    The aspidiotine scale insect genus Morganella, which has been composed of some species from separate parts of the world in addition to the widely distributed type species, is revised and restricted to three species: M. longispina, the type species; M. polyctena, a species recently described from the Philippines; and M. barbatissima, sp. nov., found on Cyathostemma excelsa in Malaya. Thus recomposed, the genus is native to eastern Asia, and the type species should have originated in this region.   3. A REVISION OF THE GENUS GONIOCTENA CHEVROLAT IN JAPAN (COLEOPTERA: CHRYSOMELIDAE)

    Japanese species of the genus Gonioctena Chevrolat, 1837 were revised. A total of 18 species were recognized from Japan, including four new species: G. hoki, G. katsuyai, G. simotuke and G. tatesinensis. Key to species and figures of the habitus and male aedeagus were given for each species. Variation spectrum of the dorsal color pattern was given for 12 species.

  4. SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF THE GENUS TRICHADENOTECNUM IN NEPAL (PSOCODEA: 'PSOCOPTERA': PSOCIDAE)

    Nepalese species of the genus Trichadenotecnum Enderlein are revised. A total of 16 species are recognized of which six are newly described: Trichadenotecnum isseii n. sp., T. suwai n. sp., and T. danieli n. sp. belonging to the spiniserrulum group, T. nepalense n. sp. and T. depitarense n. sp. belonging to the newly established distinctum group, and T. malickyi n. sp. belonging to the newly established digitatum group. T. distinctum Datta, originally described from India, and T. sclerotum New, originally described from Bhutan, are newly recorded from Nepal.
