El objetivo de esta tesis es construir un modelo cuántico para las ondas gravitatorias planas, unas soluciones de vacío de las ecuaciones de Einstein que presentan simetrías análogas a las ondas electromagnéticas en un espacio-tiempo plano. Vamos a cuantizar un modelo de midisuperespacio para las ondas gravitatorias planas puras. Desde un punto de vista físico este tipo de soluciones son interesantes porque describen radiación gravitatoria a nivel no perturbativo, son soluciones exactas que representan campos gravitatorios intensos.
