En la presente Tesis se realiza un estudio de los procesos físicos que producen la emisión electromagnética y de neutrinos a altas energías en la vecindad de agujeros negros estelares que acretan materia. Se estudia la inyección de partículas no térmicas en la corona de agujeros negros galácticos. Primero se caracteriza la región de interacción, detallando propiedades físicas básicas de los sistemas en estudio. Inicialmente se inyecta una población de electrones y protones relativistas, considerándose también la generación de partículas secundarias (piones, muones y pares electrón/positrón). Os recentes avanços no campo da física de altas energias têm possibilitado cada vez mais o estudo da matéria sob condições extremas. Nesse contexto, novos estados da matéria vêm sendo descobertos e especulados. Dentre esses estados hipotéticos da matéria, encontra-se o de quarks desconfinados quando em ambientes de altíssimas densidades e/ou temperaturas. O cenário de densidades extremas e baixas temperaturas é encontrado no interior de estrelas de nêutrons, fazendo destas verdadeiros laboratórios para o estudo da matéria nuclear. A proposta desse trabalho é estudar a transição de fase de desconfinamento de quarks no interior de estrelas de nêutrons não-rotantes. Começamos...

Até o momento, a quantização de modelos de calibre, como a Eletrodinâmica e a teoria de Yang-Mills, só tornam-se possíveis após a fixação de calibre. De fato, o que se procura são as funções de vértice renormalizadas na descrição de Heisenberg. Por outro lado, um dos problemas abertos em física de altas energias é o de obter uma formulação "background independent" da gravitação quântica. Para tal propósito primeiro deve-se aprender a quantizar modelos preservando-se totalmente suas liberdades de calibre. Quantum gravity phenomenology opens up the possibility of probing Planck scale physics. Thus, by exploiting the generic properties that a semiclassical state of the compound system fermions plus gravity should have, an effective dynamics of spin-1/2 particles is obtained within the framework of loop quantum gravity. Namely, at length scales much larger than Planck length ℓP ∼ 10 −33 cm and below the wave length of the fermion, the spin-1/2 dynamics in flat spacetime includes Planck scale corrections. We propose a modification of standard linear electrodynamics in four dimensions, where effective non-trivial interactions of the electromagnetic field with itself and with matter fields induce Lorentz violating Chern-Simons terms. This yields two consequences: it provides a more realistic and general scenario for the breakdown of Lorentz symmetry in electromagnetism and it may explain the effective behavior of the electromagnetic field in certain planar phenomena (for instance, Hall effect). The equation of state of saturated nuclear matter is derived using two different derivativecoupling Lagrangians. We show that both descriptions are equivalent and can be obtained from the σ − ω model through an appropriate rescaling of the coupling constants. We introduce generalized forms of this rescaling to study the correlations amongst observables in infinite nuclear matter, in particular, the compressibility and the effective nucleon mass.
