Two Dibenzylbutyrolactol Derivatives and Other Chemical Constituents from Aristolochia peltato-deltoidea - Silva,Ana Paula Freitas da; Palmeira Júnior,Sebastião Ferreira; Conserva,Lucia Maria; Guilhon,Giselle Maria S. Pinheiro
The hexane extract from the aerial parts of Aristolochia peltato-deltoidea Hoehne (Aristolochiaceae) afforded two new epimeric lignans of the type dibenzylbutyrolactol, rel-(8R, 8?S, 9S)-3,4-dimethoxy-3?,4?-methylenedioxy-9beta-ethoxy- and rel-(8R, 8?S, 9R)-3,4-dimethoxy-3?,4?-methylenedioxy-9alpha-ethoxy-lignans-8.8?,9.O.9?, besides a benzofuran neolignan, known as eupomatenoid-7, alpha-tocopherylquinone, beta-sitosterol and stigmasterol. From the chloroform extract were isolated two diastereomeric dibenzylbutyrolactone lignans: rel-(8R, 8?R)- and rel-(8R, 8?S)-3,4-dimethoxy-3?,4?-methylenedioxy-9-oxo-lignans-8.8?,9.O.9?. Chemical composition analysis by GC/MS of the non polar fractions from the hexane extract was also carried out and ten components were identified. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated utilizing spectrometric methods.

. Systems of three or more conservation laws in which a conserved quantity is passively transported have a contact field; sometimes, the contact speed and the speed of one of the nonlinear waves coincide on a surface in state space. We prove that this resonance surface contains the equilibrium points of the contact field. We construct locally the Riemann solution for an example of such a system of three equations, which arises in flow in petroleum reservoirs. Recent work suggests that one or more members of the highly repeated LINE-1 (L1) DNA family found in all mammals may encode one or more proteins. Here we report the sequence of a portion of an L1 cloned from the domestic cat (Felis catus). These data permit comparison of the L1 sequences in four mammalian orders (Carnivore, Lagomorph, Rodent and Primate) and the comparison supports the suggested coding potential.
