Abstract. In multiagent systems, Distributed Constraint Optimization Problem (DCOP) has been used as a formalism to model a wide range of agents ’ coordination issues. An approach based on cooperative mediation was recently proposed as a new way to find the optimal solution to DCOP. An important question about any solution to DCOP is whether it is fast enough to be applied in real-world applications, such as Distributed Meeting Scheduling problems. Here, we map the DMS as a DCOP, use cooperat...

A Swarm Based Approach for Task Allocation in Dynamic Agents

One of the well-studied issues in multi-agent systems

di#erent agents. Tasks have constraints while agents have

the changing organizational goals, available resour...

Simulação do processo Solvay no laboratório didático

The Solvay Process is an important route for the industrial preparation of sodium carbonate from brine and CO2. However, experiments illustrating such process are performed only in a few chemistry courses, mainly because of the difficulties to precipitate out the intermediate product NaHCO3 within the 3 or 4 hours generally available for laboratory classes. In this article we describe a method that properly simulates the Solvay process using glass apparatus that can be found in any chemistry ...

W/O/W multiple emulsions containing naltrexone (NTX) hydrochloride were prepared by a
two-step emulsification method at 20 ºC. Characterization of the developed system was evaluated and the
release kinetics of the drug was determined. The tissue response to the injection of the multiple emulsion
in mice was observed by histological analysis. The entrapment efficiency of NTX hydrochloride in W/O/W
multiple emulsion was 97.72 ± 0.8 % and the mean diameter of the multiple globules was 18.6 ± 7.7...
